Jandakot Showroom Project

If you’ve ever tried to cook in a kitchen with no bench space, you’ll understand exactly why we love this one.

If you’ve ever tried to cook in a kitchen with no bench space, you’ll understand exactly why we love this one. The island gives you room to prep, plate and stage all at once and the whole kitchen is planned around making everyday life easier, not just looking beautiful in photos.

This gorgeous kitchen features warm, neutral tones throughout. The lower cabinets are Polytec Verdelho Smooth, the uppers and overheads are Polytec Laurel Oak Woodmatt in a vertical grain and the island has Polytec black matt edge panels. Running the grain vertically on the upper cabinets is a great way to make ceilings feel higher and keeping everything in the same tonal family is what gives the space that calm, put-together feeling even on a busy weeknight.

The benchtop is QStone Crema Antica with a pencil round edge. Warm cream stone like this is so much more forgiving than darker benches because marks and crumbs blend into the tone rather than showing up immediately. QStone is also highly durable and wipes down beautifully, so it holds up just as well as it looks.

The splashback is Laminam Filo Argento ceramic, supplied and installed by us. Large format slabs are used specifically to reduce grout lines, which makes the surface far easier to wipe down after cooking. The warm silver-grey with its fine linear texture also picks up light differently throughout the day, soft and neutral in the morning and a little warmer in the evening. It ties the whole palette together without stealing the show.

The ribbed glass doors on the island are a lovely detail that also serve a practical purpose. The texture breaks up the cabinetry visually and diffuses fingerprints far better than clear glass would, so they stay looking clean with very little effort.
